Virtual Open House - World Language

Skowhegan Area High School offers four years of Spanish, French and German. Even though there is no graduation requirement for World Languages, most four-year colleges require at least two years of a language. Many four-year colleges want to see students challenge themselves and so prefer three or four years of a language.

10 Reasons to learn another language:

Students in a language class will learn the four skills of a language:

  • speaking
  • writing
  • listening
  • reading

Students will learn through, stories, thematic units, songs, reading and culture.
