JMGSkowhegan Area High School JMG

Jobs for Maine’s Graduates (JMG) is a statewide program established in 1993 that partners with public education and private businesses to offer results-driven solutions to ensure all Maine students graduate, attain post-secondary credentials, and pursue meaningful careers. There are 143 JMG programs in middle school, high schools, and colleges around the state.

The JMG high school program at SAHS is a for-credit elective course taught by a full-time JMG specialist. The class focuses on team and leadership skills, community service, career exploration, philanthropy, job attainment and survival, and financial literacy.

Partnership with local businesses and professionals play an important role in the JMG program. Skowhegan students have participated in numerous community events such as the Skowhegan Community Center Haunted House, Financial Literacy Fair, Main Street Skowhegan’s Holiday Stroll, JMG Santa’s Helpers, Bloomfield Elementary Connect, Create, Move Day, Community Service Day, Special Olympics Area Spring Games, and many others.
