Message from the Principal

Welcome to Skowhegan Area High School. We have recently closed out our first semester of the 2020-21 school year and it has been an adventure to say the least. During this time our students and teachers have connected in various ways through a variety of learning platforms. This has resulted in many positive learning opportunities for our students and, to be honest, this has been wonderful to watch. It is amazing to observe the interactions that occur each and every day in all of our classrooms. I am impressed with our staff and very proud of our students for their perseverance and determination at making learning work.
We realize that each child has their own set of unique needs and our goal is to assist them in meeting these needs. We continue to collaborate with students and families in creating a realistic and relevant learning pathway for each student. We pride ourselves in doing our best to support student learning. If your current learning environment is not working for you, please reach out to your teachers or building administrators and share this information. We realize that your learning environment may change over time. Therefore, it is so important to keep the lines of communication open in order to provide the best learning experience for each student.
We are excited that our students continue to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. In addition, our students have been amazing following the set guidelines in order to participate in our clubs, organizations and after school activities. We continue to take a trauma informed approach in caring for and supporting our students and staff. Our goal is to deliver a well-rounded educational learning experience for all.

We thank you for your support during these difficult times. If you have questions or concerns please contact us as we will be happy to assist. Stay safe, stay determined, stay strong, and stay positive. We will get through this together.
