Message from the Principal

Welcome to Skowhegan Area High School. As we ended the past school year, we found ourselves returning to normal and conducted our year-end activities and events as we did prior to the pandemic. We are very excited to start a new school year focusing on student learning and enjoying all the related activities.

New this year is a daily advisory period where we will focus on skill building, social-emotional learning, academic learning, and preparing students for life after high school. Our goal is that each student connects to someone in our building and has a go-to-person when they need assistance. In addition, we want each student to have a plan when they leave Skowhegan Area High School.

We recognize that each child has their own set of unique needs, and our goal is to assist them in meeting these needs. We will continue to collaborate with students and their families in creating a realistic and relevant learning pathway for each student. We pride ourselves on doing our best to support student learning. It is crucial to keep the lines of communication open to provide the best learning experience for each student. Should you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please feel free to email or call your child’s teachers or reach out to the building administrators.

Our goal is to deliver a well-rounded educational learning experience to each student while meeting their emotional and academic needs. We wish to thank you for your continued support, and should you have any questions please contact us as we will be happy to assist. Stay safe, stay determined, stay strong, and stay positive.
